Project Gutenberg is the oldest universal online library of free electronic books, which carries out a public (voluntary) initiative for the digitization, archiving and distribution of cultural works. Most of the items in this collection are full texts of books in the public domain.

The Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (EZB) is a library of electronic journals since 1997 as part of the Regensburg University Library project, in cooperation with the Library of the Technical University of Munich, offering fast, structured and unified access (in English and German) to scientific full-text journals.

E-Books Directory is a free web resource that allows you to download books, documents, lectures, and technical documents.

Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS) is an electronic archive for archiving data and network services. The archive unites collections from art, humanities and social sciences, health care, etc. DANS is an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, supported by the Government of the Netherlands (KNAW) and the Organization for Scientific Research (NOW).

EBSCO Academic Search Premier is a database that contains the full texts of more than 3,200 scientific publications from a wide range of social and humanitarian disciplines.

Gallica is the digital library of the National Library of France and the national aggregator of collections held by French cultural heritage institutions. Available collections consist of printed products (books, magazines, newspapers, sheet music and other documents), graphic materials (engravings, maps, photographs, etc.), as well as sound recordings.

HighWire Press is a scientific portal of the Stanford University library that provides access to more than 1,500 journals, books, conferences and other publications, 5 million full-text peer-reviewed articles, of which about 2 million are freely available. Subjects: physical, biological, medical, social and humanitarian sciences.

Japan Science and Technology Information Aggregator, Electronic (J-STAGE) is a Japanese scientific information portal that provides access to more than 740 scientific journals, about 360,000 articles from various fields of knowledge.

Registry of Open Access Repositories (ROAR) is a registry of all repositories and other sources of open information worldwide. The project was developed by the University of Southampton (Great Britain) and is part of the network.

The Free Library the resource offers free full-text versions of classic literary works from hundreds of famous authors, biographies, images. Recently, the Free Library has been expanded to include periodicals in business and finance, communications, culture, health care, humanities, law, politics, technology, and social sciences.

Open edX –  is a free online platform for open-source online courses. It was founded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University in May 2012. Currently, there are 53 schools, non-profit organisations, corporations and international organisations that offer or plan to offer courses on the EdX resource.
